Rug dreams

I just discovered this rug company and am very excited about it. It's probably not exactly unfamiliar but it was to me. Roubini is specialised in hand knotted designer rugs. They make the designs of Missoni, Fornasetti, Karim Rashid and ... 'I would love to design my own rugs sometime.'

Illustration jealousy

Dadu Shin. I really envy the ability to make such strong and perfectly balanced drawings.

The titles are really well connected to the illustrations with a little touch of irony. Beautiful!

Dutch Blue in London

Suddenly they were there, the feminin designs of Michael van der Ham. I saw them the first time, strolling true net-a-porter, and was attracted by the beautiful mix of patterns and fresh colours (and the shoes :))

Just read this article about him were he is called the London's answer to Dries van Noten (SuperDries), not a bad comparison at all I'd think so.

Collages Shake

The past few days I bumped into these 3 mixed-media/collages makers. When I see their portfolios it seems I've seen some of their artworks before on Pinterest or elsewhere and each time they draw my attention. Hope you like them too :).

Starring: Beth Hoeckel, Arian Behzadi & Marta Muschietti

Tile Style

Claesson Koivisto Rune presented on Stockholm Furniture Fair 3 great new tile designs. The cement tiles are handmade in Morocco. They give some possibilities in creating your own floor pattern, you can go for a typical repetitive, but I think it's great you also can choose to place them in a non-repetitive and dynamic way.
Perfect for my veryfarinthe future home...

Fanmail

I'm blown away by the online magazine thisispaper. It is summarized as a clean, very user-friendly website with a beautiful lay-out and most important a very good selection.

Art History

How much do I want to have a chair of Hungarian/French 50s designer Mathieu Matégot. Design studio Gubi reproduced some of his designs, like the Nagasaki and Kangourou chairs and the organic formed coat rack.
